Hi friends! I hope you are all busy crafting away for Valentine’s Day just like me. I’ve put together a fun quilted background piece that you can use for so many projects. It’s a great way to use up some of the patterned paper in your stash too! I’m using the new Tim Holtz Idea-ology Pink 8×8 Paper Collection. I’m trying to fit in what I can with my busy scedule, just like most of you, but there’s always time for a quick and fun background so here we go. Enjoy!

A quilted background can be so pretty on a card as well as other projects and when you are someone like me, that doesn’t have much sewing knowledge, this paper version is perfect. Below is a follow along set of pictures explaining just how to complete this technique. It’s super fun and so easy. I hope you give it a try.

See how easy it is to create this beautiful “quilted” panel? You’ll spend most of your time cutting the squares, but after that the process goes by so quickly and it really is so much fun. I hope you give it a try.
You can find everything I used to create this projet at Simon Says Stamp. Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is 💕💕💕
Thank you!
It looks so much like a quilt!!! Do you have any issues with glue residue affecting your sewing? Even with letting my glue dry overnite my needle seems to stick.
I brushed a very thin layer of Simon Says Stamp Craft Tacky Glue on the squares to adhere them to the card panel. I allowed the panel to dry afterwards for several hours and had no issues with my needle sticking. It could be the glue you used.
