Distress Mixology is based on experiment with color. This series is a way to branch out using colors that you may not think about paring together. Do you find that there are colors in the Distress line that you gravitate to more often than others? Why do we gravitate to those colors and why do we skip over others. That is the journey I’m on and hopefully Distress Mixology will expand my color palette forcing me to try new colors. Hopefully, if you found yourself in a color rutt like me, it may help you too. I’ll be mixing colors I don’t usually think to mix and work with a broader mixture of inks, oxides, sprays and paints instead of just pulling the inks off the shelf. I hope you find new combinations of colors in my Distress Mixology series and that it gives you the confidence to expand your color palette and mediums as well!
