Hi Friends! I hope you are as excited as I am about the new Simon Says Stamp release called, Send Happiness. Who doesn’t need a bit of happiness right about now. I know I do! This collection is filled with beautiful stamps, dies and more for you to create amazing cards filled with happiness. I was so excited to work with the new Chunky Flower Mask and used it to create a subtle yet beautiful background for my card. I hope you’ll pop over to Simon Says Stamp and check out the entire collection. You can find it here.
To begin, I mix up a batch of Speckled Egg texture paste. To make the paste I add a few drops of Speckled Egg Re-inker to a bit of texture paste and apply that through the stencil onto the card base. I allow that to completely dry. Next, I add some the Stampers Anonymous script stamp from their Entomology stamp set with Specked Egg Distress Oxide. I then ink the edges with Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. When the inks are completely dry, I wrap a bit of burlap string around the base. Next, I create a couple of the Tim Holtz Scribbly Butterflies and Garden Greens and arrange them onto the card. My sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous’ Tiny Text stamp set that I stamped out onto mixed media paper and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and edged with Ground Espresso Distress ink. I adhered the main card panel onto a 5″ x 7″ piece of Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate cardstock and my card is done!
I hope you stop over at Simon Says Stamp and check out this amazing new collection and thanks so much for stopping by!
