Remember the Now

Hi Friends! I’m so happy you’re here and hope you enjoy this simple tutorial for a dramatic and beautiful card. There’s a minimal amount of supplies needed for this card. I used white and black cardstock, silver wax and Black Soot Distress ink. That’s it!

Cut several different sizes of rectangles using the Tim Holtz Stacked Rectangle die set.
Emboss each piece with the Tim Holtz Swirls embossing folder.

Ink the edges of each stacked embossed rectangle piece with Black Soot Distress Ink.

Cut a 4-1/4 x 6-1/4″ piece of black cardstock.
Using the Tim Holtz Swirl embossing folder, emboss the piece of cardstock.
Rub silver wax over the embossed swirls using your fingertips and allow to dry.
Set aside

Cut a 3″ x 5″ piece of black cardstock.
Emboss this piece of cardstock with the Tim Holtz Mini Roses embossing folder.
Cut away a bit of the cardstock from the top and sides around the embossed roses.
Rub silver wax over the embossed roses using fingertips and allow to dry.
Distress the edges of the cardstock piece.
Set aside.

To finish the card, cut a 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ piece of white cardstock and adhere the swirl embossed cardstock piece on top. Place the swirl embossed rectangle pieces on white cardstock next and adhere with 3D foam tape and a bit of multi matte medium. Finally, adhere the mini roses cardstock piece in the center using 3D foam tape and a bit of multi matte medium. Lastly, adhere the sentiment piece to finish the card.
