Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing a card I created using one of the new Christmas stamp sets from Tim Holtz called Sketch Greenery. It’s a wonderful set of gorgeous elements of greenery and this set also contains several sentiments. I created the wreath using one of the stamps from the set and stamped it using the Gina K Wreath Builder. This tool makes building wreaths a breeze. Enjoy!
- Cut a 4″ x 4″ piece of mixed media cardstock.
- Smoosh Tea Dye Distress Ink onto a craft mat and spritz with water.
- Spritz the 4″ x 4″ piece of mixed media cardstock with water and run it through the Tea Dye Distress ink. Dry with a heat tool
- Continue this process until you are pleased with the outcome.
- Set the Gina K Wreath Builder in the corner of your stamping tool and place your cardstock within the design as shown below. You can find a video from Gina K’s website on how to use the wreath builder here. (Advance the video to 6:50.)
- I chose to stamp and color before advancing the paper to the next stamping position but you can stamp the entire wreath out and then color it. I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to create a full circle wreath or just a swag of greenery.
- Below is my completed wreath. You can continue to add greenery by choosing another stamp and starting over from the first position but I decided to stop here.
To finish the card, I cut two Tim Holtz Postage Stamp dies out of metallic kraft stock and mounted the wreath on top. Next, I choose a coordinating cardstock from the Tim Holtz Christmas mini paper stash set and adhered that onto a piece of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red cardstock. I wrapped velvet trim around the center of the panel and adhered the wreath panel on top. I added a Tim Holtz Fold Up bow to the top of the wreath and a sentiment from the new Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Christmastime 3 stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I put this card together. Thanks so much for stopping by and sticking with me to the end. Have a great week!
