Hi Friends! Are you ready for the most exciting month in the stamping world? This month for Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember celebration the fun, prizes and excitement are going to be over the top. Heidi and all the team at Simon work so hard to bring you all the very best and they also collaborate with other companies to bring you exclusive stamp sets from those companies. I was so happy to be able to work with one of Simon’s exclusive sets called, Your Greatest Dreams. It’s a set with quotes in several different beautiful fonts. I hope you enjoy seeing what I created and that you’ll join in all the fun that only STAMPtember can bring.
To create this card, I stamped a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2 piece of watercolor paper with one of the quotes from the Your Greatest Dream stamp set in Black Soot Archival Ink. I then inked the edges with Broken China Distress ink using a mini ink blending tool. I created a mask to cover the quote. I then inked the Star Flower Background stamp with the same ink and stamped that over the center of the watercolor paper. I spritzed the entire piece with water and dried it with a heat tool. I created a couple butterflies from the Tim Holtz Mini Layered Butterfly die set and adhered them to the card. The butterflies are colored with Wild Honey and Broken China Distress Inks. I then mounted my main card panel onto a yellow piece of cardstock and then mounted that onto a piece of Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock.
