Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a one dimensional card that can be created using minimal supplies. Even though this card is one dimensional it still has that WOW factor. I love creating cards with lots of dimension but they are expensive to mail and tricky to fit in a regular envelope. This card takes card of that. It’s so easy to send and will fit in a envelope with no extra postage. Enjoy!
Begin by cutting a 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ piece of watercolor paper. Ink the edges with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide using a mini ink blending tool.
Next, ink Mustard Seed Distress Oxide on the inner sides of the Spiced Marmalade ink.
Going back to the Spiced Marmalade, blend the two colors together along the edges where the two colors meet.
Lightly ink a blending tool with Mustard Seed and apply gently toward the area where the moon will be stamped. Leave the center area white and using this same tool blend all the colors together avoiding the white area.
Stamp the owl and moon image over the white area with Black Soot Archival Ink and immediately sprinkle on Ranger black embossing powder. Heat with a heat tool to set the image and allow to cool.
Stamp the same image onto a piece of masking paper and cut out along the edges.
Cover the stamped image with the masked image and stamp on the first branch from the edge to just over the moon with Black Soot Archival Ink.
Stamp the second branch just below the first one with Black Soot Archival Ink. Remove the mask.
Ink the edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide using a mini ink blending tool and sprinkle with Ranger black embossing powder. Heat with heat tool and allow to cool.
Stamp on some splatters and the Trick Or Treat sentiment in Black Soot Archival Ink. The Trick Or Treat sentiment is embossed with black embossing powder after stamping. Color the owl with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink by smudging the ink onto a craft or glass mat and picking up the color with a waterbrush. Color the moon with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide using the same technique.
Using a stamping tool, stamp on the Haunted House in the bottom left corner right over the branches so it appears as though the mansion is behind the tree.
You’re done! Wasn’t that easy? It’s cool, it’s creepy and it will put a smile on anyone’s face.
I hope you enjoyed seeing all the steps on how to make this Trick Or Treat one dimensional Halloween card. Thanks so much for stopping by!
