Hi Friends! I’m here with a second card that I created using the new Simon Says Stamp Toil & Trouble exclusive stamp set. This card features a clean and simple background and a little trick on how to create candy corn using the Tim Holtz Stacked Triangle die set. I’ve put together a little tutorial below so you could see how I put it all together. Enjoy!
Begin by creating a candy corn background on Ranger watercolor cardstock by inking Squeezed Lemonade and Carved Pumpkin onto the surface using the new Simon Says Stamp blending brushes.
When the background is completely dry, stamp on the Trick or Treat sentiment from the Toil & Trouble stamp set in Black Soot Archival Ink. I set this aside to completely dry.
To create the candy corn pieces, cut three different sizes of triangles from the Tim Holtz Stacked Triangle die set out of Ranger watercolor cardstock.
Using a snippet scissors, round the edges of the triangles to create the candy corn shapes.
Ink each candy corn piece as shown above with the small size Simon Says Stamp blending brushes.
To finish the card, color the witch’s hat and feet and attach them onto the fron panel of the card. Tuck the candy corn pieces under the feet and adhere the entire panel onto a piece of 4-1/2″ x 5-3/4″ piece of Simon Says Stamp black cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I put this card together. Thanks so much for stopping by!
