Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing my third and last card that I created using the Simon Says Stamp exclusive Toil & Trouble stamp set. This is another card with a very simple background. I’ve put together a quick tutorial to show you how I put this card all together. Enjoy!
Begin by spritzing a piece of Ranger watercolor cardstock with Bubbling Cauldron Distress Mica Stain making sure to spritz along the center of the cardstock. Start at the top and move towards the bottom of the card panel. Spritz a bit of water on the top portion and dry with a heat tool.
Stamp the witch’s hat, broom and caudron onto watercolor cardstock with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and paint with a combination of Distress Inks and Distress Mica Sprays. Stamp the sentiment box and sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and ink the edges with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.
Adhere the main card panel onto a piece of green cardstock. Using a sewing machine, sew zigzag and straight stitch patterns along the edges in random areas with black thread. Adhere the sewn panel to another piece of green cardstock that is a bit darker and then onto a piece of black cardstock. To finish the card, add a few of the bubbles above the cauldron and adhere the caudron, witch’s hat and broom to the front panel of the card. Attach the sentiment with an Idea-ology clip fastener and it’s done.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I put this card together. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you had a chance to check out some of the exclusive stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp’s Stamptember event. Don’t forget this is an event that lasts all month long with exclusive releases from most of the major stamping companies so don’t forget to check their website often.
