Merry Christmas – No Line Coloring

Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing a card I created using the no line coloring technique. For this particular card I used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Sketch Greenery (CMS429) stamp set. It’s a collection of beautiful greenery and enables you to create some of the most beautiful cards. It pairs perfectly with the Forest Floor (CMS422) stamp set too. Christmas greenery is all you need to create a beautiful card and these two stamp sets are perfect for doing just that. I also used the new Deckle trimmer. I mean c’mon, don’t you just love the uneven, deckled edge that trimmer creates. It’s the perfect little detail that I love so much, so I know I’m going to be using that tool quite a bit! I hope you like what I’ve created and that you’ll give no line coloring a try. Enjoy!

I know there are a lot of inks out there to use for no line coloring but I’ve always like Antique Linen Distress Ink the best. As you can see, all you need to do is stamp the image with Antique Linen Distress Ink and use whatever color medium you wish to use. You can use Copic markers, like I did, or you can use watercolor paints, Distress Ink reinkers with a brush, and even colored pencils.  Did I just hear you say, “But I can’t color”? I’m here to tell you, yes you can!” If you really want something you have to work at it, chase it, persue it and do the work to achieve it and never give up. If you practice, practice, practice, you will do an amazing job and you’ll be left with a wonderful hobby that brings you so much joy. I highly recommend taking Kathy Racoosin’s Coloring Challenge class available through Online Card Classes. Also, there are countless videos on YouTube on how to watercolor, paint, color with Copic markers and so on. Take my word for it, if you put in the time, you won’t be disappointed.

So did I convince you to give this technique a try? I hope so, and I want to thank you so much for stopping by.
