Hi friends! My favorite time of year is just around the corner and I couldn’t wait any longer to play with the new Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Halloween stamps collections. Zombies, spider webs and the ever so popular gentleman, Mr. Bones, are among my favorites in this collection. I created a really cool Halloween decor piece last year from the Undertaker stamp set which you can find here: Undertaker Glowing Shadowbox. When I saw Mr. Bones, well let’s just say a million ideas came to my mind. I just hope I have the time to create them all, but today I’m sharing a creepy card I made using the Zombie and Tangled Webs sets. I put together a few photos to explain how I connect all the creepy spider webs together. Enjoy!
To begin, stamp the zombie onto the center of the 4″ x 5″ piece of watercolor paper. Next, create a mask for the zombie and adhere it to the stamped zombie in the center of the piece. Now, stamp webs all around the zombie. When the ink is completely dry, begin connecting the webs together by using a Copic 0.3 Multiliner Marker.
Next, ink the edges with Black Soot Distress ink and the center with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.
Pull off the mask and color the zombie.
To finish the card, I stamped the spider from the Undertaker stamp set on one of the webs and adhered the main card panel to a piece of Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock. I adhered that panel onto a 5″ x 7″ piece of cardstock from the Tim Holtz Materialize paper stash that has been distressed along the edges with a distressing tool. I wrapped some Idea-ology orange and black jute around the entire piece and added a couple of boneyard bones and last year’s Idea-ology spider. The sentiment is from the Mr. Bones stamp set stamped onto white cardstock with Black Soot Archival Ink and the edges are inked with Black Soot Distress Ink. This entire piece is adhered to a piece of black cardstock.
I hope you enjoyed learning the little trick I used to connect all the spider webs together. Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome week!
great card! I have got to get the stamps to make this! The webs are amazing here.
