Hello friends! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Distress Mixology and I’m so excited to get right to the next one with the new Distress Holiday Mica Stains for 2023. I thought mixing these colors would be perfect for the Mixology series. I love all the beautiful colors and the shimmer and shine are amazing.
The new colors are: Juniper Berry, Yuletide, Frozen Fog, Sugary Gumdrop, Wonderland and Frosty Mint. I’ve put together all the colors and combined them so you could see how each of them pairs with one another. Enjoy!

Juniper Berry
From left to right:

Juniper Berry is so intense and amazing! I fell in love with it from the first application. It works so well with all the other colors in the collection and I love the deep color and how well it blends. This is such a beautiful blue for all those frosty and not so typical Christmas color palettes. Sometimes red and green become a bit boring for me and I love the frosty depth of this rich blue color.

Yuletide

There is no other word to use except, WOW! Yuletide is intense and absolutely beautiful in every way. I love the vintage shade and how well this color blends with all the others in the collection. This is the Christmas red that I love, deep and rich.

Frozen Fog

Frozen Fog is frosty perfection and works magnificantly with all the colors in the collection. This light gray mica spray shimmers and shines amazingly and brings out the perfect frosted glow in all the other colors. Frozen Fog is a must have for all those wintery backgrounds!

Sugary Gumdrop

Sugary Gumdrop reminds me of the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. It’s a beautiful shimmery shiny pink that gives a light balance to all the other colors in the collection. Look at how amazing it pairs with Yuletide. I mean, c’mon, isn’t it beautiful!!

Wonderland

Wonderland fits it’s name perfectly. Doesn’t it remind you of the light and airy colors in a magical snow scene? It’s a gorgeous color that works so well with all the colors in the collection. This is the perfect color for a beautiful forest background with rich deep pine trees in the forefront.

Frosty Mint

Frosty Mint is what I call a trickster color. This beautiful green color can sometimes appear blue and then you look at it again and it’s green. Maybe it’s just my eyes, but I find this color playing tricks on me. It pairs so well with all the other colors in the collection. This would make a beautiful contrast color when creating leaves and winter greenery with die cuts.
