New Tim Holtz Stamps & Stencils from Stampers Anonymous

Hi friends! I’m excited to share with you the new stamps and stencils from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous. The new release is full of beautiful blooms, amazing sentiments, cool stencils and two sets of numerical stencils that have been a long time in the making. I put together this card using the new Botanic Collage, Noteworthy and Eccentric stamp sets along with the new Focus stencil. Join me below as I explain how I put it all together. Enjoy!

I love the new Botanic Collage stamp set and its beautiful flowers with inlayed text in the background and make this the focal point of my card. Each of the stamps in this set have amazing detail and can be used in so many ways.

I begin by cutting a 4-3/4″ x 6-3/4″ piece of Distress White Mixed Media heavystock and apply the Focus stencil with Distress Opaque Texture Paste. I allow that to completely dry which only takes about 5 minutes in the hot and dry Arizona climate. It may take a bit longer if you live somewhere that has more humidity but you can also dry it with a Ranger heat tool if needed.

When the texture paste is completely dry, I sprinkle on Infusions Frankly Scarlet, Golden Sands and Terracotta color stains. I then spray the stains with a bit of water moving the cardstock piece around to move the colors and then dry it with a heat tool.

To give the stencils a little more depth, I apply Barn Door, Crackling Campfire and Rusty Hinge Distress Crayon pigment over the design and rub it in with my fingertips. Along the outside edges of the stenciled design I apply Vintage Photo Distress Crayon pigment and rub that in with my fingertips as well.

Lastly, I distress the edges on all sides using the Tonic Paper Distresser.

Next, I add some of the stamps from the Eccentric stamp set on the smooth areas of the background using Wild Honey and Vintage Photo Distress Archival Inks. I edge the entire piece with Distress Vintage Photo ink and set this piece aside.

Now it’s time to stamp that beautiful flower! I stamp the image onto a piece of Distress Specialty Stamping Paper with Black Soot Distress Archival Ink and dry the ink with a heat tool. When the image is completely dry, I tear the edges of the paper around the image along all but one side. I attach the image onto the front card panel using Idea-ology Hex Fasteners.

I stamp the sentiment from the Noteworthy stamp set onto a piece of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock with Black Soot Archival Ink. I want the layout of the sentiment to appear differently than how it stamps out so I cut the word story away from the bottom of the image as shown above. I ink the edges of the sentiment pieces with Vintage Photo Distress ink and adhere them to the front card panel with 3D black foam squares.

For a bit more texture and an added touch, I make a bow out of twine and burlap and attach that to the front of the card panel.

To create the matte behind the main card panel I cut the following:

(1) 5-7/8″ x 7-7/8″ piece of Simon Says Stamp Dark Chocolate

(1) 5-1/4″ x 7-1/4″ piece of Distress Kraft Mixed Media Heavystock (I cut this with the Tim Holtz Deckle Edge Cutter and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.)

(1) 5″ x 7″ piece of Simon Says Stamp Burnt Orange cardstock

I adhered all the pieces together,one on top of the other, using 3D foam tape. I then adhere the main card panel on top and the card is done!
