Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing a card I created using the new Scallop Waves background stamp from Simon Says Stamp. This beautiful background stamp is one of the new products from the Believe In You release. You can find the entire collection here:
To create the background for my card, I stamped the Scallop Wave background stamp onto watercolor paper using Versamark ink. I then covered the entire image with Ranger Clear embossing powder and set it with a heat tool. When the image was dry, I colored the image with Broken China Distress Ink inking it darker from the bottom up.
Next, I stamp some flowers from the Roses for You stamp set and colored them with Distress Oxides and a waterbrush. I carefully fussy cut them around the borders.
I created a fun border at the base of the flowers using the Simon Says Stamp Sunrise Border die and added the word “Love” in the center of the card just below the flowers from the Ornate Love stamp set.
To complete the card, I added some zig zag stitching to the border.
